Volunteers
The volunteers are the most valuable asset of the Sanctuary. Without them none of this would be possible. Donating our time and energy to a cause that we believe is so fair not only makes us feel fulfilled, but also more human.
What does it mean to be a volunteer?
A volunteer is a person who, in an altruistic and supportive way, by their own choice and motivated by their ideology, intervenes in situations of violation, deprivation, or lack of rights and opportunities of other individuals to achieve a better quality of life. A volunteer seeks justice and although he or she does not receive financial retribution for dedicating his or her effort and time to this end, he or she does receive knowledge, experience and the reward of seeing that his or her work has directly helped others.
What does it involve?
In the sanctuary we do one-day volunteer days every Sunday morning. These are days in which we clean, paint, build... everything for the inhabitants of the sanctuary. On these days we only ask for respect towards the big family that makes up the sanctuary, to follow some basic rules and to come with intention of working. Animals from outside the sanctuary are not allowed in order to respect the internal balance and the work is adapted to each person, according to their age and physical condition.
Ok! And how do I do it?
To volunteer in one of our sessions at the Animal Sanctuary Corazón Verde, all you have to do is to contact us at info@santuariocorazonverde.org
